TEETH WHITENING
When preparing for a tooth whitening treatment. Its crucial to follow these before and after steps in order to optimize your results!
Pre Care:
Since you cannot eat or have any beverages (besides water) an hour after your treatment. We recommend you eat something beforehand!
Brush & floss your teeth prior to your appointment!
If you have any mouth piercings, remove them prior to appointment.
Be sure you have no sores or cuts in your mouth. This will cause discomfort during your treatment.
Post Care:
Avoid eating or drinking anything besides water for an hour after your appointment .
Do NOT consume any food or drinks that are likely to cause stains (such as wine ,tea, coffee, beets berries, red or dark sauces, any rich in colour foods) 24-48 hours after the treatment. This also includes colourful mouth washes especially blue or red.
Avoid acidic foods such as lemon, limes, soda, pickles, fruit juices or beer.
Avoid hot & cold foods. A whitening procedure can generally make your teeth more sensitive. Use straws to prevent discomfort if needed.
Avoid or limit tobacco use within the first 24-48 hours since this will cause staining.
If sensitivity occurs after the treatment, apply sensodyne toothpaste to the tooth as a leave on mask for 5-10 minutes to relieve discomfort. If you are susceptible to sensitivity, we provide desensitization gel.
Gems Atercare
(The adhesive will take 24 hours to reach maximum strength. Be most careful with your gem during this time)
Do NOT consume sticky, crunchy, tough, or hard foods directly on your fresh gem for the nest 12 hours
Do NOT pick or play with your tooth gem
Drink water only and avoid drinking staining, or acidic drinks, for the next 12 hours, if you choose to do so use a straw to avoid the gem
Avoid smoking & vaping for next 12 hours
Brush & floss 2x a day to keep your gem clean

The frequency of teeth whitening will depend on your starting tooth color and your diet. After achieving your desired shade of whiteness, it’s important to maintain the results. Some people require touch-ups once every few months, while others may need more frequent whitening sessions. People who consume food with staining agents and smokers will likely need to whiten their teeth more frequently than others. We recommend whitening every 3-4 months, but touch-ups in between with maintenance should keep your smile white and bright.

Teeth whitening results are immediate, and each session brightens your shade. Everyones journey is different, and they begin from a different shade. Depending on the original yellowness of your teeth, some may take a couple more session than others to achieve the lighter desired shade.

Tooth sensitivity can occur after whitening deepening on your tooth sensitivity. It is normal to experience sensitivity, especially wen consuming hot and cold foods after the procedure. If this occurs it could last a couple hours, to a couple days, but subsides. To help relieve it we provide desensitization gel, or you can use sensodyne toothpaste to relive discomfort.

NO! There is no drilling or holes created in the tooth, gemming is completely non invasive and uses the same bonding adhesive as a bracket for braces. It is placed directly on the surface of the tooth. If they fall off the remaining adhesive can be polished off.

Don’t worry! If the gem falls off and you swallow it hey are 100% lead-free and body safe.

Tooth gems can last anywhere from 3-12 months depending on your aftercare, if you want to remove the gem before it naturally falls off, you would have to do so at a dental office.

Yes, and you should it is always recommended, the gems does not alter anything when it comes to getting your regular dentist visits. Brushing, flossing, and regular cleaning is all strongly recommend after the gem has cured.
